Joan Miro was one of the forefathers of modern art. The Spanish painter, sculptor and printmaker was never closely aligned with any movement, but is recognised as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He was a pre-eminent figure in the history of abstract art, and his dramatic vibrant, colourful images are instantly recognisable. From a series of 22 original lithographs drawn to illustrate a book by Rafael Alberti in 1975, from an edition of 1500.
